Epica returns to Transylvania at the ARTmania Festival with a brand new album, Requiem for the Indifferent. Epica will play for the first time on the stage in the Large Square with Trail of Tears and Die Toten Hosen on Friday, August 10th.

The impatient ones can now listen online to Storm the Sorrow, a single take off the bands’ fifth album. And since we are in the century of speed, the band uploads weekly a recorded instrument for the song Monopoly on Truth, the first song of the Requiem for the Indifferent album.

The album will be released this March via Nuclear Blast and features 13 songs with messages dedicated to the trials of the modern people, supported by their unique instrumental arrangements. Design Your Universe, the latest Epica album, enjoyed an unquestionable success. The majority of their concerts were sold –out, including the show in Bucharest. It was also the way 2012 started for them, album release events in Holland and five European concerts were left with no tickets to sale.

So, Epica starts its launching tour in March, until the end of May, and during the summer the band will promote its latest album on scenes of the world’s most loved festivals: MetalCamp in Slovenia, Summer Breeze in Germany, ProgPower USA and, of course, ARTmania Romania.

Sascha Paeth is also responsible for this Epica album that he produced in his Wolfsburg, Germany, studio. Sascha Paeth also works for Edguy, Kamelot, Rhapsody, Avantasia, Lunatica and other bands with impeccable sound. The album cover is the work of a controversial German artist, Stefan Heilemann, also responsible for the artwork of Design Your Universe, former collaborator of Nightwish, Pain, Sons of Season, Atrocity, Leave’s Eyes, MaYaN and Indica.
