We need your votes to officially put Romania on the map of European festivals. During this period of the year the public chooses the best large events to qualify at the European Festival Awards. ARTmania Festival competes in the 3rd category – Best Small Festival, according to the competition standards, in the 5th position, alongside other 80 European festivals. The seventh edition of the ARTmania Festival took place in August, 6-12, 2012 in the medieval citadel of Sibiu and has offered the public a varied cultural program dedicated to promoting contemporary European musical values.
Established in 2009, in co-operation between Festival Awards Ltd., Yourope (the European Festival Association) and Eurosonic Noorderslag, Festival Awards Europe is the only event solely dedicated to recognizing the contributions and achievements of event organizers as well al participating artists that generate significant revenue for local economies and color the life of audiences.
The awards are established by public vote in the first heat and afterwards a specialized jury selected from the musical industry chooses the final winners. In 2012, over 350,000 people voted for a total of 200 enrolled festivals. For their votes the participants could win an iPad and a package containing two VIP tickets valid for all the European Festivals.
