The Sibiu European Capital of Culture 2007 Program meant several outdoor and indoor events, plays, music, photography, multimedia, conferences and projects, which took place in Sibiu as well as abroad. The Great Square of Sibiu was chosen as the perfect venue for the grand closing of this project, a platform for an impressive sound and light show.
During the show organized by ARTmania and the Municipality of Sibiu, 30.000 people sang together with REAMONN the lyrics of their mega hit “Supergirl”. The New Year’s Eve was marked by an extraordinary pyrotechnic performance by GROUPE F, one of the most famous artists specialized in artistic pyrotechnic shows.
The new year came to life with an exceptional performance from EUROPE, the best knows Swedish rock band, with a world wide fan base and over 15 million albums sold.
