Epica returns to Transylvania at the ARTmania Festival with a new album: “Requiem for the Indifferent”. Epica will play in premiere on the stage in the Large Square alongside Trail of Tears and Die Toten Hose, on Friday, August 10th.

Curious fans can listen online the new song “Storm the Sorrow”, a single off the fifth album released by the band. And in the same technological spirit, the band posts every week a new instrument recorded in the studio for the song “Monopoly of Truth” the first song of the album “Requiem for the Indifferent”.

The album will be released by Nuclear Blast in march and features 13 songs dedicated to the trials people pass though every day, supported by incredible instrumental work. “Design Your Universe” the previous Epica release enjoyed an undisputable success. Most of their concerts were sold-out, including the show in Bucharest. The same way they’ve started 2012: the launch events in The Nederland and five European concerts were sold-out.

This is how Epica starts its European release tour in March until the end of May, while in the summertime the band will promote its new album on the stages of some of the most loved stages in the world: MetalCamp in Slovenia, Summer Breeze in Germany, ProgPowerUSA and others, via ARTmania Romania.

Sascha Paeth once again produced the Epica album at his studio in Wolfsburg, Germany. Sascha Paeth also works with Edguy, Kamelot, Rhapsody, Avantasia, Lunatica and other bands with an impeccable sound. The album cover is realized by controversial German artist Stefan Heilemann, who also signed the “Design Your Universe” artwork, well known for his collaborations with Nightwish, Pain, Sons of Season, Atrocity, Leaves’ Eyes, MaYaN or Indica.
