An extended program, a variety of events and an unique atmosphere are the characteristics of the first edition of the ARTMANIA festival, held in the summer of 2006. The concerts, exhibitions, conferences, book releases, workshops, invited the participants to interact with different forms of contemporary art.
From the 14th until the 16th of July, the historical center of Sibiu was the scene for musical events, exhibitions and projections, experiences that fascinated the public.
The first edition of the festival was a true success, having as guests HIM, Amorphis, Carmen Gray or Silentium. The 2006 edition of the festival had approximately 7000 participants (public acquiring a ticket, guests, and visitors of other events in the festival) and enjoyed the presence of over 60 artists from Finland and Romania.
