ARTmania Festival, in collaboration with Humanitas Libraries, “Radu Stanca” National Theatre in Sibiu and ASTRA museum continues the series of alternative events on the 14th edition: reading sessions, music and traditional Norse instruments seminar, practical workshops for traditional sewing techniques, as well as free access with the festival wristband at the ASTRA Museum Sibiu and all its events. The events will take place between 26 – 27 July, 2019.

Practical workshops for traditional sewing techniques on traditional Romanian blouse, in collaboration with the ASTRA Museum

Fashion, traditions and craft fans have the opportunity of taking part, for free, during the ARTmania Festival, at some practical workshops where they will be able to find out the hidden meanings in the models sown on our traditional blouses and how these models can come to life.

The workshops will be held by Mrs. Felicitas Rarcas from the Traditional Art School in Bacau, in collaboration with the Museum of Traditional Popular Civilizationa “ASTRA” in Sibiu

Seminar dedicated to traditional Norse instruments and music, presented by Eilif Gundersen, member of Wardruna

Eilif Gundersen (Wardruna mmeber) will present a novel seminar, as part of the alternative events by ARTmania, taking place during the festival.

Eilif will talk to the music and mythology afficionados about traditional music and about traditional Norse musical instruments. The event is dedicated to the ARTmania Festival 2019 public, who have free access based on the festival wristband, within the available seats (aprox. 30 seats).

Reading sessions in collaboration with Humanitas Libraries

Humanitas Libraries join the ARTmania Festival in an effort to promote cultural activities by offering special reading sessions dedicated to festival goers. They will have access free of charge, based on the festival wristband, within the available seats.

 

The reading sessions will be held by actress Lerida Buchholtzer of the National Theatre “Radu Stanca” Sibiu, and she will give life to passages from “Fluturele negru” signed by known writer Radu Paraschivescu and “Melancolia” by Mircea Cartarescu.

Music and traditions meet once again. Free access, based on the festival wristband, at the Museum of Traditional Popular Civilization “ASTRA” Sibiu and all their events.

The National Museum Complex ASTRA continues its partnership with ARTmania, by granting free access to the space that promotes Romanian traditions.

This way, during the ARTmania Festival period (July 26 – 27, 2019), festival goers will have free access at the museum based on their festival wristband for this year’s edition. Also, they will have access to the events organized by the ASTRA Museum:
